keep the tt and get a 996 gt3 for the money you would have lost on a trade.

I completely agree with this person. I think that the 996 GT3 is a better and more "raw" car than my 997 GT3RS. The problem is finding a low mileage example.

I'm honored. Wow. I got your first post. I'm actually not being sarcastic.

Actually, I've not considered the GT3RS because I don't like the graphics. Maybe a dumb reason, but that's the truth.

The GT3 is really all about the wild NA race car driving experience. I could go f-car, but I'm not into that. Love Porsche.

As it stands, I'm quite happy with the turbo, but for the right deal, would trade for the 2010 GT3. The 996 GT3 just does not appeal.

I think what is more likely is that someone in about a year-ish will have purchased a 2010 GT3, and wants the turbo. Bingo--trade.

well thank you! lol! but my guess is youre dead on about the $factor, my dealer has sold a cpl of 2010 gt3's between the 115k and 123k range, but have also told me that in about 6-9 months you be seeing them for about 5-7k cheaper when they come back. i'm not so sure that they will be that much less, but he says it really depends on how the market is for that car with the new 3.8 my guess is they will still be in high demand, but i also keep hearing that our (i have a 08twin) 3.6 variants may suddenly go up in value b/c of the gt1 block...one could only hope

and man, with all your mods.....you maybe very dissapointed with the mid range acceleration (even with out them; according to R&T the turbo is still faster at the ring!!), i like you love the Porsche, the F-cars just seem to be a whole lot of work to maintain and a cpl of my friends that have them often have problems with the f1 system overheating..not bashing them though they are beautiful machines.

Taylor,

Have seen your posts on other forums in the past.. I have to say that I'm totally envious of your financial ability to indulge your car A.D.D..

Back on topic: Your plan to try to wait for the "right" buyer for your TT before switching sounds like a good compromise. That said, while I share your dislike of the graphics on the new RS, that would be my choice all considered... Car-wise, this is a no lose situation so whatever happens: Enjoy!

Yeah, spend my whole working day/week/month/year trying to make good financial decisions--then promptly make some of the worst when I'm off work
