Drive-by
Oh well, we all have to grow up someday... sorta.
When the salesman took me out for the 997tt test drive I was totally impressed by the whole experience, until we turned it loose. I could see the boost numbers coming up but, without the ear splitting howl its kinda not the same sensation.
In case anyone gets the wrong impression I gotta say I love the new car. Its so comfortable and the power is so accessible, its like a precision instrument in comparison. Its also a gorgeous looking beast.
I think I'm repeating myself... again.

Webtool I just realized you're in Toronto. Did you pick up the car from Pfaff? That's the one I took out with Tom. Very nice. I thought the price was a bit too high, were you able to haggle a bit?
but they did drop 10 k because of that stain you left.
they wanted my 996tt so badly we traded even.

enjoy it, it's a sweet car. I just want a black one so I am holding out. There was actually a nice black one with Champion rims and a tubi exhaust but Pfaff wouldn't buy it from the owner because of over-revs.
What was your 996tt like?
It was from Nevada, very clean basalt black, "S" or X50 with ceramic brakes, cab, TIP. 60 mm speedtech exhaust. Theres about 18 months of PCO left. When those K24,s come on, look out. There's nothing wrong with that car at all, I just wanted a change towards comfort. With a TIP, over revs are not an issue, neither is second gear pop-out, or clutch slip. Just point and shoot. I kinda miss it.
