trade '07 for '10...any value added?

Anyone do this yet? Seems like just toileting +$60K if going from manual to manual.
Got my '10 911turbo book: 3.5 sec (0-60) manual 3.4 (w spt chr), and 3.4 sec (0-60) pdk 3.2 (w spt chr).

Probably getting pdk is the only good-reason to trade, but how can the pdk-box be that much different from the tip-auto-box except for mechanical/electrical, hydralic problems galore downstream?

I guess anyone jumping from manual to pdk most likely won't regret it because losing the hassle of shifting especially in constant heavy traffic isn't easily missed, but I drove auto-boxes in vettes for years, but once locked in with a manual in this porsche, I feel it would be a waste in this car to go pdk or tip to lose that pleasure of total-car-control. Question: is there much difference between car feel with auto-pdk from auto-tip??
Let's get some opinions. The chances of finding a pdk turbo to possibly drive at a dealership is most likely zip.

I guess for about $10K, the exhaust/chip would give me the 3.5 (0-60) and RS spyder style wheels are available. However in the meantime, wonder if those massive '10 exhaust cans fit my tear-drop holes in my '07 bumper?

I had a tip TT cab and just drove a car with PDK and it is day and night.... The shifts are instant up and down. Launching the car without the worry of timing on the clutch and the ability to click gears faster than I could pull them in a manual is awesome. For a highway or light to light runs it’s the way to go… I am blown away by how responsive the PDK is. I am a huge fan of a manual for the involvement and got rid of my tip TT because the shifts were way to slow. A TT with PDK would be hard to compete with as it is just lighting fast. Had I not got the 2010 GT3 I would be in the market for a PDK TT for sure....

Forget the PDK if you want to mod over 600HP. Really bad experience with modded Evo X TC-SST.

With a zero to 60 at 3.2 with the PDK (Porsche conservative numbers mind you) there is no more reason to mod the power on this car. Too many people are caught up with HP numbers but most people can't handle the factory car as it is!

My hats off to porsche for making a car that is bullet proof (comparatively) and really no longer requires any additional engine mods!

John to answer your question, yes there will be a noticeable difference in handling and power on the 2010 model but should you trade in your car for it? If you have the money, YES! Otherwise, keep what you have and enjoy it!
