Can't comment on the pricing side but I certainly wouldn't wait for a 2010. You'll save a ton of cash on the CPO and these cars are very reliable for the long haul. I've put 47,000 miles on mine with no major hiccups.
The only things that you will really miss are bluetooth, sat radio, and ipod integration, if you can live without those or go aftermarket its a no brainer.
Why spend the extra $30K+ just for a 2010? Plus the 2010 has the bigger mirrors I dont like and even bigger exhaust, again that I don't like.

I don't know the c4s market that well, but I'd bet you won't get more than 60-70k for it as a trade.
Regardless, they are totally different cars, the turbo is king.
I've also put about 46k miles on mine without issue. The price delta on a new 2010 vs a 2007 is probably more like 50k or more. 50k for an ipod? You get the idea.
What are they asking for the 2007, I'm sure they will go deep to get it off the lot with the 2010s coming.

Pricing for C4S turbo 2007 trade
Dealer is not sure they are buying the car back yet from the guy leasing it. If they don't, they will send to "auction". It doesn't make sense to me. I thought the dealer is stuck with it and shouldn't be too bold with pricing.
Edmonds says a CPO for 2007 turbo is 99-100K but that seems high. My C4S according to Edmonds is 56K on trade and that seems a little low
Dealer is getting me a price.
I could ride my C4S until year 4 and then get a 2010 turbo unless this deal is too good to pass up.
The car doesn't have Locking Diff or sports seats a couple of items I really like.
1. What do you folks think about the Edmonds prices above?
2. How important is locking differential?
Thanks.
Is Locking Diff a big deal?

Personally, I think it is a waste of time trying to predict what you will get on a trade and what the dealer will charge you for the 07 TT. The important thing is what the difference will be, or what it really costs. Keeping this in mind I suggest you look at what others are asking for similar cars. Even though asking doesn't indicate sale you can see what a buyer could get (elsewhere) if they were considering your C4s. The market is soft and a low mile C4s can be easily bought for $65k. Next look at 2007 Turbos for sale. There are 25 nice cars under 15k miles on Autotrader today for under $90k. So, if you sold for $63 and bought for $88 it cost you $25k. You need to factor in the disadvantage that not trading costs you the sales tax benefit on your car so if
it is 7% in N.J. that's @ $4,500 saved if you traded rather than sold. So...it looks like a $30,000 difference at the dealer is perhaps the best you can hope for. This does not add the CPO cost which you can factor as you wish..I doubt it is really worth more than $2,500 - $3,500 but you can use whatever number you like. Bottom line, using this logic and my numbers a hassle free trade for the cpo Turbo at a dealer near you is probably worth a $35k -$40k cash plus your car deal.

Rufluv is exactly right. As far as off lease cars go, the dealers get 1st choice at the cars, but the majority go to auction where they are sold for far less than the RV.
Case in point; when my old 03 c4s came off lease I toyed with buying it, the RV was 44k, they wouldn't come down, the car sold at auction for 35k to a non porsche dealer, the car later resold at 38k after several months. Had porsche not been so greedy and taken my offer of 40k, they would have made another 2k 5 months earlier.

Hello, I am new here and yesterday traded my 2008 M3 for a 2007 dark olive green turbo cpo. My dealership was great and it took some haggling but they are willing to deal. Rufluv is right on with his numbers just hang tight and you will be as happy as I am.
