3 Clicking sound when turn off the ignition ?

Hello Guys,
My car finally arrived on Friday last week, and I just got it registered on Monday after inspections and paying all the duty/taxes and stuff. We had some snow on Sunday and Monday, so I haven't really had a chance to drive the car but i have to admit i have been sitting in it alot to play with all the cool stuff in the car or just to feel all the leather pieces that full leather interior provided . I have to say i am really pleased with the car; money well spent.

I want to thank all the people on this forum that helped me during this purchase! especially tranman , JTK, bbywu ... Thanks again!

ok, here is my question. I have spend some time in the car relaxing without starting it. Sometimes i turn on the ignition to play with the settings in pcm, and when i turn the ignition off i hear 3 loud clicks/grinds coming from the motor area in the back. is it nomal?

thanks!

Congrats!! She's beautiful. I never heard any click or grinding. I'm assuming you're not turning the engine on. I'll try that tonight with my car.

i posted a thread on this topic a couple of weeks back. it happens when i turn the ignition off after the engine has been running but i'm sure it will happen either way when turning the ignition off. i've noticed other 997tt's doing this. i'm sure its normal but i'm curious as to what it is.

That is the VTG turbo's performing a self test. Normal they all do it. Ignition on engine off clicking noise's throttle body adaption.
