TPC did my tune, it is on 93octane. The boost was increased by only.5 psi.

Did TPC tune your car or the dyno readings??? Sorry but a gain of 91whp with just a tune, 93AKI and only 0.5psi increase is hard to believe. But i will give my congratulations if that is true because is a big difference when comparing to gains the others top tuners.

Most other tuners will give you flash not a tune, big difference. The tune above is done over 20-30 pulls where the car is constantly connected to a computer. Same during the road tests. The ECU is fine tuned to what the car does, every tune will be different on every car. No ECU is being removed or reflashed. TPC then provides you with a switch that allows you to select the file on the ECU you would like to run. (I have a post in the Cayman section with a 520bhp Cayman which shows the switch for the Cayman.) Meaning the tune is a separate file on the ECU and next to the originial file on the ECU. Therefor I can select the original file on the ECU for service. Now others also allow you to reflash your ECU back to the original file however it will also show when this was done meaning the service department can tell that the ECU was flashed. Mine was never tempered with.

0.5 psi on a 3.6l is going to net perhaps 20 peak hp. More aggressive ignition timing may get another 30hp under the curve. Unless you put a real mechanical boost gauge on the car you really can't tell what the boost is doing.

Very true
Mine pulled 466 awhp on a DD dyno with exhaust and a mild ecu tune, a stock 997tt on the same day pulled 390hp minutes before mine. So, 91hp is very likely. I'm planning to dyno my new FVD 555 setup very shortly and will post the results good or bad. I'm expecting 500-ish at the wheels given the much more thorough ECU tune and free-er flowing exhaust/header combo compliments of FVD/MM in Germany.

Chris, who's doing your dyno tune? I didn't know FVD offered dyno customized tunes...that is what Schwabe is talking about.

There is an interesting thread on the 996TT forum discussing this very matter, and whether or not a dyno tune is going to make a difference for minor tweaks like exhaust, ECU.

That is exactly why every single package that we offer has its own tune. Tons of dyno runs and 100s of miles road testing go into each development to assure that every part is working as one with the car, hence the term "package" and not a "kit".

A true tuning solution.

Mine's not an off the shelf flash, put it that way. FVD Germany spent considerable time/effort with mine, it's like no other I assure you.

Correct Mustang Dyno and Dynamics, where the front and rear rollers are tied together is the only way to dyno the AWD Porsches.. They will not dyno on independent rollers like the 424x Dynojet..

Agree with Mike 100%. We have tested our 997 on a 424x and the car was not happy.

I kind of got that idea from your other posts. Just wanted to know who's doing your dyno tuning. You can PM me if you prefer...or keep it a secret.
