I went back to stock OEM rotors and pads. Taking most of the track stuff off, going to be running the Exige on track this year and the TT strictly as a DD.

Tookout roll bar, brembo rotors, seats, harnesses, but leaving suspension, exhaust and wing.

DIY oil change cost me $90. Change the oil twice a year.

Maintenance will be about 2X of a modern Corvette (I had several).

I was quoted $1,100 for a front brake job on my 996TT, 997 should be the same. YES, you should replace the rotors on high performance cars. Not doing that makes it so easy to warp now thinner rotors. With cars like this you need all the stopping power you can get.

I'm not impressed by the GTR at all. First, they lie about lap times, now its obvious they sell you the razor cheap (car) and kill you with the blades (maintenance).

Through 40,000 miles with my 996TT after warranty ran out, maintenance costs are about $0.15 per mile
