On car with abs and pasm can I flush the brake fluid using the Motive Bleeder? I’m talking about regular brake flush maintenance job.
Is it necessary to have the piwis for the service?

 

That is how I do it every few months. This is a very easy process to do by yourself.

How do you use your car? For street, stock fluid is fine. For track I use SRF, but it's pricey. Many people like Motul 600 which doesn't have as high a wet boiling temperature, but doesn't have the high price.

Whatever brand you use, don't get any on your paint. It will eat it.

 

I already purchased 1.5 l of Motul RBF600- use mostly for the street, was also wondering if the PCCB system use the same fluid. as on standard red caliper .

 

Is there a DIY for brake fluid flush for 997TT. Do most of you guys use the Motive bleeder? if so which should I get? Any precautions?

Also, can you just use turkey baster to get it out of the reservoir a few times? I only have 7k miles but the car is 2 yrs old now...

I have a 2010 997 TT and just did it with a Motive bleeder. Put two bottles of brake fluid in the tank after removing as much of the fluid that I could from the reservoir, and than started the process. Was pretty easy to see the fluid clear up when it was through the system. Still had a half bottle left in the tank when I was done.
