These mixed feelings are not too hard to understand. The Turbo, in general, isn't exactly brimming with character. While its power is impressive, it's delivery isn't as pure or soulful as a NA GT3, F430, Gallardo, etc. It delivers a tremendous, boosted mid range wallop, but a less impressive top end charge, all the while featuring a bland sound (true, an exhaust helps).

Couple this with equally bland chassis tuning (granted, this can be fixed) and it's not off to the best start. Now, throw the clinical PDK transmission on top of it all and you literally have an appliance for speed, i.e. speed with little emotion.

I'm not bashing the Turbo, but it is what it is...a very fast, smooth GT car.
