Ed,

if cost is an issue at all, I would junk the Damp's and go with GMG springs/sways...unless you go to the track, you would hardly ever use the stiff sport mode anyway as non-sport setting stiff enough with Damps.

At some point, your time and effort has got to be worth the price of Damps.

Now go put in a few Stryker Triathlon or Scorpio knees and the GMG's would be paid for...

Hmmm...and if his OEM dampers trigger the same warning after investing in the GMG springs?

Ed...tough choice. It would be satisfying to know exactly what the problem is...

I can't even begin to imagine what this debacle must be doing to your enjoyment of your car.
Thanks. And yes, it is sort of ****ting on my enjoyment of this otherwise fantastic vehicle.

I had springs (albeit H&R's) before the Bilsteins. I changed because I didn't like the ride/performance.
And I don't do TKA's. Besides, with reimbursement these days, I can't pay for diddlely squat.

You and me both. I just can't imagine the stockers would be an issue. Everything started once I installed the Bilsteins. Not sure why the car-end of the equation would be the source of these problems....but with my luck....

This (and bbywu's post) is what I am thinking also. In a perfect world for a complete "work-up," you would have to take this car totally back to stock, drive it, and see if the fault light is gone, then install completely new Bilstein, re-test, etc. But this will cost a lot of $. You are looking at 2 installations already, and what if the light goes on again?

I still think it's something simple, with the connection, but bottom line is we are all guessing. That's why I think $ wise, it's better to go to KW.

BTW, I called Bilstein this morning to get some data on the spring. Have you had a chance to call them yet? 858 386 5900.

Ed,

Don't spend any more money on this. Use whatever you were going to pay EVOMS to diagnose and apply it towards a new install. Have EVOMS call RSS and have them send over a set of KW's before you get there and get it done one shot. Like I mentioned, EVOMS and RSS are tied in pretty tight in business dealings. RSS is an EVOMS dealer and they also machine some parts for EVOMS. Any issues that might arise between them, they will surely step up and fix. Pretty good guys to deal with too. RSS is a pretty big KW dealer and their prices are very competitive also. We need your car fixed and ready for your CA drive bro...
