I will get this info and post it up for you asap.
I know in total it was 2 miles of runway, with a straight, a u bend and a longer straight with a laser trap at the end and enough room for braking.
As soon as all the results are posted I will let you all know what they were and I will find out how long the distance was from exiting the bend to the laser trap.

bit of both. start from a full stop, but as mentioned, there's a big bend and then you do your fastest time exiting this bend, which technically makes it a rolling start.
VMAX has had lots of events over the years; not that i've been to any, but do a youtube search, or check out pistonheads for lots of info. some 6speeders such as AdamT or LeonS or GuyR have joined if not won a couple of these events in the past.
i don't think you see quite the monster HP cars at VMAX as you would say, at the Texas Mile. by "monster" i mean 1,000+HP Supras or TT FGT's or TT Lambos or Vipers. though the 9ff's in the above pic suggest that the HP's have been creeping up now.
no offense meant to the UK guys-- i could be wrong. just basing my info on stuff i've read and watched on the web.

Quite right about a bit of both and the BHP.
BUT this year there were 850hp RS4's, 700 bhp RUF, 9ff cars with 850 & 1000 & 1127 bhp so there was a few high powered cars this time.

turns out the 9ff GT9R had a bit of a problem at the end of its run. glad to hear nobody seriously hurt and the car will be rebuilt!
anybody get a video or pics of that? and what was the problem? brakes?

Problem was brakes and I didnt see the joy in taking pics of the accident myself as I was upset for the guy BUT I'm sure someone did!

The other 9ff cars apparently went accross the line bouncing off of the limiters so had more in them

I believe it was a turbo with a gt3 rs wing but i could be wrong!
