Price discount question on new 2010 TT

I'm relatively new to the forum, but have been reading for a while. After battling older Porsches for the last 10 years without a dealer in my area, the new 2010 Turbo has really tripped my trigger. My plan was to drive my lastest for two more years and see what exactly is around the corner, but I just can't quit looking at these.

My question: Can there be any expected discount offered by a dealer off sticker on these yet? I just want to prepare myself before I start shopping.

Any thoughtful advise would be appreciated. I would be looking at one with all the bells and whistles -- if I'm going to spend this kind of jack, might as well go all the way ...

Most dealers will agree to $2000/2500 off sticker but you can get a little over $3k if you want. I suggest going to a dealer and saying that you have another dealership that will give $3,000 off but the car doesn't have the exact options you want so if you can get the same $3k you will buy it on the spot. The dealership should agree and there you go. Make sure to get some extras thrown in (if you want tints, a nice license plate frame, stupid little things like that).

i was fortunate to get a decent amount more off than that. and that was not on a car sitting on a lot, but on a spec'd order. if it's on the lot, I would aim to get $7k - $10k off. trust me, regardless of what the sales guy says, the economy still stinks and there aren't a lot of people wanting to buy $150k+ cars.

Agreed, I think you can get more off. They just happened to have the exact car with the options I needed and time was running out. But if you're patient I think you can get much more.

Thanks! I am actually in the Tupelo area. I'm getting something done to my car tomorrow and will be at the Memphis dealership where they have two new TT's on the lot. One black loaded out Cab, and one silver coupe. I don't know what all the options are on them, but I will find out tomorrow.

We'll see what they say about negotiations as well. The good thing is I don't have to do anything immediately, and there is nothing wrong with my current 911 -- it's just not a 2010 ...

Hard to wait. I started back in Dec. Won't get delve of Turbo S until Oct. So if I had chance I would take one off lot for less discount if it was what I wanted.

GJ,

If you don't mind me asking, how much discount did you get for the Porsche Turbo S? I got $3000 off MSRP and it was a grind.

I thought I did a pretty good job, but you did better. Congratulation!!

I drove the black cab before I ordered Turbo S from Gossett it is nice been there over two months. List of 163 k if I recall. See David Graham he will treat you very good. The test drive made me want a Turbo. Couldn't order one so I went Turbo S route. But if that black cab would have had Pccb. I might have took it home. Very nice. Good Luck
