997.1 Clutch Question (2008)

I have been slowly losing clutch fluid. Refill it, and its fine. I have never been able to detect a leak (nor has the dealer).

Yesterday, I noticed a small leak near the front drivers side fender (left) by the door jamb. Clutch still works fine.

Where is the physical location of the clutch slave and accumulator? Im off to the dealer to get it checked out today.

Thanks

Mike

Mike, just had mine done, same year, well known problem. I had no visible leaks at all and I topped it up twice. Even removing all underpanels we found no leak.

If you find that pentosin stuff anywhere clean thoroughly!

Is there a warning light for low fluid or something I need to physically check?

thanks

Looks like your slave cylinder is going out.... Take it in and fix it under warranty. Really common problem on the 996TT's and now 7 TT's.

no warning lights / codes at all. just a clutch that grabs 1mm off the floor!
