THE alltime classic driving song... Radar Love by Golden Earring..

Another classic is "Highway Star" by Deep Purple... get the full length version from the "Made In Japan" album.. easily the best version and it's live......

How about Animals by Nickelback with the following lyrics:

"I'm driving past your house while you were sneaking out
I got the car door opened up so you can jump in on the run
Your mom don't know that you were missing
She'd be pissed if she could see the parts of you that I've been kissing"

Nothing like a bit of Metallica (seek and destroy, sanitarium) if you need to be pumped up a bit.. (I got black flagged at Sears Point Raceway during an actual race.. There was a long yellow flag to clean up debris, so I fired up my "Ride the lightning" CD... Race control was NOT amused...).

I'm a Punk at heart.. grew up in the UK and was 13 years old when Punk hit.. How about some Ramones? or The Skids (the ORIGINATORS of "The Saints Are Coming" that U2 and Greenday did as a tribute to the New Orleans flood victims), or "The Only Band That Matters", The Clash? "Tommy Gun", or "Guns of Brixton" if you're feeling Anarchic...

Some newer stuff? How about "Clubfoot" by Kassabian, or "I predict a Riot" by The Kaiser Chiefs? The occasional bit of House/Trance/Electronica, like Tiesto's "Traffic" or Something by The Chemical Brothers like "Loops of Fury"..

Most of the stuff above is just great for driving to.. got a beat and gets you into a rhythm... Just don't play it when you're in the middle of a NASA Unlimited Race at Sear Point/Infineon Raceway..
