installed GMG sways a couple of weeks ago to my already Bilstein equipped car. The difference was transformational. it's a completely different car. I was expecting a very subtle difference based on what I was reading. I would have done this immediately had I known how big of an iimprovement it was.

Adding the sways to the bilstein's made a much bigger difference than adding the bilstein's to the stock car, if that makes sense.

no increased scraping on my daily drives yet!!!!

TT Surg is right, about 20mm (slightly less than an inch)

The way my driveway is angled at the street (been redone once to my specs), I still cannot go out nose first. But can enter nose first, and can exit tail first, no scraping at all.

I would love to lower it a bit and tighten the rear bounce, and this sounds like a good way to solve it, but I know I'd need the freaking lift kit for the front....there's just not one RCH of room under that lip when I go in/out.

you can repaint that front lip a lot of times for the cost of the lift kit

GMG Sways

Where did you have your GMG sways installed? I am thinking of the same sways for my car as well but I only have H&R springs instead of Bilsteins coilovers. I heard that a good improvement would be achieved with the addition of sways to my current setup as well.

EPE, European Performance Engineering, in Natick, MA

Jerry Pelligrino is the owner and has been preparing Porsche's for over 25 years...he is top notch, an instructor at Porsche racing events...his shop is loaded with race cars...people come from all over the north east to have him do their cars

he has done my exhaust, intake, and the suspension work...i wouldn't go anywhere else, and it is a bit of a drive for me

TT Surgeon has used Farnbacher Loles in the NYC area...PM him for info on them

There's a thread on Rennlist discussing Farnbacher Loles.
I do not have any first hand information, so I may be wrong, but, It has been put into receivership on embezzlement charges.
This happened in March.
I tried accessing their website. It looks like it is down.

I just googled the Farnbacher Loles name and came up with the following news story:
http://www.newstimes.com/default/art...ury-292392.php

Don't mean to offend anyone but I thought people should know in case they have any cars/business pending with them.

That's old news, that reflects one guy, not the shop/crew/techs/drivers. Be careful painting everybody with such a broad stroke. They are quite active in Grand Am and Rolex still, only under different names/teams.
1/2 of the FL guys are at a shop in danbury run by Spencer ***, the others are at manthattan motorsports in Roslyn, NY. been to both, equally as good, mmms is a hell of a lot closer.

I expressed no opinion. I did not "paint" with broad strokes.

The only reason I mentioned the story is because handdoc was referring the OP to F.L. so I presumed he was unaware of the "old news".

I have no doubt that plenty of good people worked there and this in no way is intended to slight them.

Where in my post did you get the impression that I passed judgement?

i knew of what you referred to, but i also knew TT surgeon would know the latest details

i didn't "refer" him to their business, i only mentioned that they were in the NYC area and that a very respected member of the 997 TT forum, TT Surgeon, had had good experiences with them

the truth is in the details, and knowing is half the battle...that's why i referred to TT Surgeon for the info

Obviously TT Surgeon has updated us to where these excellent techs are in the NYC area, and those of us that would use that info should thank him

otherwise in the greater boston area, use EPE

My apologies. Without knowing your intentions, I read that sentence as a referral and thought you were unaware of the FL situation.

Again, I am absolutely certain that they had great people there.

In either case, one good thing came out of these posts, we now know were those great people are
