Service Message

God forbid, I had the oil changed outside the dealership. My car has since started giving me the service message everytime I start it up, and the manual has no instruction how to reset this function. Plus, the dealer tells me only they can reset it. I've got 5200 miles.
Is this true?

My independent shop has always resetted mine after doing the oil change. Give them a call and see if they have the correct tool to do it.
