Got ECU and Exhaust.. Now What?
Which is the shop that you will be using to modify your vehicle. Picking a great tuner is only part of the equation. Even if you are shipping your car out to tuner you still need to have someone local to do the fine tuning or maintenance etc.
Make sure that you pick a shop local that you can trust has the skills AND experience to do all the modifications you are looking for.
I can not STRESS This point enough.

I hear ya.. I'm just a power addict and normally I would have put the $ into wheels and other cosmetic upgrades but I'd rather put it towards performance. Besides painting my lower skirt and lip pieces I am very happy with the stock turbo look and contrary to many owners I love the stealthy stock look when it's modded.
The best advice I have seen posted here is the advice from K_DDSL. Read it over, again and again. Great plan to start from!
Good luck on your journey.
Ok.. I have been forum searching like a mad man and it seems the after the initial ECU and Exhaust upgrade the process get's quite a bit more complicated from there. From what I have seen, besides suspension, it's off to better performing headers, inter-coolers and even turbos. With this massive amount of info offered I have a few questions to you mod vets:
1) What type of gain should be expected from header and inter-cooler upgrade?
2) At what point does the 6 speed transmission need to be upgraded?
3) What have you found to be the best overall product for headers & inter-coolers keeping price in mind of course.
Your help is much appreciated.

4) Suggestions to change stock rims with.....
Then she will look complete, and with the mods fast too.

It's funny because in the past I would have the car delivered straight from the dealer to get wheels, tires and suspension to get those fenders tucked just over the tires. With the TT it was straight to the mods. I literally had the car 30 min which was the time it took to drive from where I picked it up to Lucent. To be honest I like the stock TT wheels and if they were 18s it might be cause to switch them up but this is one car I do not want 20s on and at this point swapping stock 19s for other 19s just doesn't do it for me. Don't get me wrong I f'in love the .2 centerlock set up and if it wasn't an 8k upgrade I'd probably go for that if anything.

Here she is.. http://sharkwerks.com/porsche/997-tu...-type-1-a.html
Ive since put my street ps2's on the rf67's and put the Mich ps cup R's on my stock rims as track set. Im also toying with the idea of getting another set of champions or hre's for my track set and do away with the stocks altogether....altho the way our dollar has gone down against the greenback this week that idea may have to be put on hold till things recover
. I'll check if I have any other pics of them a bit closer up i'll pm them to you in the next day or so.
