XM satellite problem

About a week ago I noticed a crackling sound from my speakers that made it sound like a speaker was blown. however, when i switched from XM to either radio or ipod, the noise was gone. Then i started having the XM signal go out completely, sometimes for 5 seconds, sometimes for 30 minutes. Just started having this problem, same roads, etc. I'm guessing maybe there is a bad electrical connection from antenna to receiver? anyone have similar problem? it's a 997.2. Thanks.
