possibly interesting info
When I bought my car I had them do a DME readout at a P dealership as part of the condition of sale. The readout showed something like 127 overrevs in range 1, 6 in range 2 and this was at 127 hours. I just got the Durametric software and curiously it shows 154 overrevs in range 1 and 9 in range 2. Not a big difference but it did show that they were at 28 hours or so. I didn't expect a discrepancy but it is of no consequence to me. Just something for potential purchasers to keep in mind. Not sure which one is right or what the implications are here. The data in the beta version of Durametric 6 are slightly off (meaning the engine serial number was listed under the transmission serial number) so perhaps it's a glitch but just thought I'd throw it out there.
Over revs usually occur on down shifting the gearbox. A lot of over revs with in a short period indicate probable track use by an over enthusiastic driver....sorry. Just as well these cars are built to take a lot of punishment

exactly!
I read my car a few days ago with 7xx in range 1 and 2xx in range 2 both happened in 72nd hour. I know they happened on that day i drove it with should be around 330 hour or so. I think durametric info is not too right on the hour thing.
