911 Turbo S delivered/ driven
What color is your car? I think the RS wheels look outstanding on darker cars and they're very cool looking on silver also. I'll be very interested knowing how the RS wheels are to live with. The owners manual has 5 pages of information on how to use them. They need 370 lbs (500Nm) of torque to seat properly on the spindle. Very exotic and a real eye catcher too! I don't think the 500 grams of weight savings on the Turbo S set/four really matters. That may not include the five bolts. Right there the difference would be made up- compared to the center-lock RS

Although I like the standard Turbo wheels best, I'm also a little discouraged changing to them now I see the same design on Cayenne and Panamera. Porsche don't know when to stop sometimes.
Like some other posters, I loved the video. It gives everyone a chance to share your excitement. And let's face it - there aren't many more exciting times in your life than getting a new car. It always takes us back to our childhoods - Dad pulling in the drive with new wheels. It's magical!
Congratulations on your new car. It's beautiful!
(PS. As your sales rep kept saying "yeah" and "uh-huh..."...I wanted to mention that DFI Turbos have an expansion intake manifold, not expansion plenum. You can't really see the manifold in the bay...it's further back under the rear deck. While the plenum may be a little different than on the Mezger engines, the intake expansion manifold holds the key to cooling air by increasing the distributor pipe length and shortening the diameter and length on the intake pipes.)

Picked mine up today. White Turbo S Cab with Red leather. I didn't have the luxury of spec'ing the car or I would have probably opted for Speed Yellow with Black Leather with yellow stiching. Wife really likes it so I'm happy because this would be the first P car she said she actually liked the look of. I drove it home and this car feels noticeably peppier than my 997.1T. The car does sound louder than the 997.1T as well, maybe that could be because of the top being down. I did take off hard from a stop, and WOW, it's pretty violent, the torque/thrust is amazing.

Thanks folks. Hoping to add GT2RS to the stable in OCT. I use to love driving the Pana TT but since we got the Turbo S I haven't even considered driving it. I know they're 2 different animals. Wife is actually "digging" the Turbo S and even heard her say "I think I'll keep the white Porsh", note she doesn't call it "porsha"...haha. Told me today "I'll drive the white porsche and why don't you get this new red Ferrari that was on the flyer we got today." She's actually letting me get a lift in my garage
Little does she know that I'm already waiting for the GT2RS.
