Guys, someone told me tonight that a friend of him with a 997tt tip has some strange problems with the gearbox.

He cannot select the first and second gear and the car is only leaving from 3rd gear, when he pushing kick down the car is vibrating very hard and then back again in 3rd gear from 3 gear up is ok but from 3 to 1 is not working.

Does anybody knows about this issue!?

I am unable to diagnose the problem, but it sounds expensive.

Is the car stock?

If not, what are the mods ?

Have them check the shift linkage. It could be broken.

 

Did he do any brake launches? If yes check the tiptronic oil if it smels like burned. A friend had same problem because of brake/launches and had to rebuild the trany.

 

i don't know this. the strange thing is that the car wont enter in frist and second gear and when it does it's shaking very hard and then enters in 3rd gear.
