997tt Softronic Dyno Results
Here is my initial report 2 years ago from doing the Softronic flash. I just noticed that we were at a ambient temp of about 105F. I think the humidity that you are having in TX as well as Spark plugs for both cars is not helping the cause. The baseline number is not as import as the overall gain. http://www.vividracing.com/forums/pr...ext-level.html. We will get you BOTH sorted in the right conditions.
Those numbers are probably pretty right on. Mine pulled 480hp with my old PES tune under similar conditions and a bone stock 997tt laid down 385hp to the wheels the same day. So 380-ish is about right with 17% or so drivetrain loss on a awd dyno. Your graph looks very peaky, and abruptly drops off, not smooth like the sock curve. Some tunes tend to give you a lot of boost up front with a raised redline, the the spark is retarded later by the ecu to save the engine, resulting in less than anticipated numbers. This is well described in a thread over on rennlist ('technical data on flashes' thread by Toby, esp the ignition angle, IAT values).
You may just need some fine tuning of that program.

^^I dont think tweaking is possible. I asked Dan if that could be done and was told that's the same file sent to everyone. Now, don't get me wrong, I AM NOT SLAMMING DAN OR VIVID! They have been very good to work with and got the tune to me on short notice. Plus, my butt dyno feels like there is a bigger increase than whats on the mustang dyno.
I think the advantage of a custom flash is that you don't get the same one they send everybody. The softronic is very similar to the fvd and can in fact be customized, may cost a bit more though.

What does a stock 997.1 make on your dyno Dan?

TT Surgeon.. You are not getting the "same tune" that is on everyones car. There are small differences but you only have max limits you want to adjust. You should never tune around problems.
Chris - I have worked with Dave Pratte. He is a good writer. Having owned the Mustang Dyno for 5 years. I have seen almost every car on it and this is always a discussion that goes no where for people that dont understand the differences.
Here are some dynos of 997TTs from us in stock form mainly 91oct.
