The discount also depends on the options. What was the sticker on that car?

thanks
MSRP 168K and this was my friend's car and I was at the dealer
signing the paper. If I wasn't looking at a Ford GT I'd have pulled
the trigger as well.

Did they have any cars on the lot? I wonder what they would do for a car already in stock?

You can get a good discount if you shop around. I got 5 to 7K off depending on dealers. That's for the Turbo S coupe model.

Been looking around the Porsche website the last couple of days. Ted is right, the Turbos are starting to hit the states. There are 3 alone in SoCal--two black 6 spd and one Basalt black 6 speed. I found several others across the country as well. I suspect there will be discounts as these cars remain in inventory and more are coming. Also noticed there are a lot of Turbo S's in stock. I was offered money off of one of the above mentioned cars without too much pushing on my end. I, however, still will probably order one to my specs unless a car comes along that is fairly close to what I want and the price is right (insert the come on down call here ). Tough to find a car with an aerokit and the other opts I like. Still a buyers market though and am in no rush. Just thought I'd post what I've found.

The problem with buying from existing dealer stock is the thousands of dollars of options you may not want - what good is 5k off if you get 7k of stitching, park assist and leather vents? If there are discounts to be had on custom orders, that is clearly a different story. The 11k mentioned earlier must have some atypical circumstances in play, why would a dealer give up a production slot (they are not easy to come by) for so little profit? I have a 2011 TT 6sp on the ship; ordered it about 4 months ago with no discount but am still happy since it is exactly to my spec. No doubt there are discounts to be had now.

That is funny. Anyone here has leather vents? I think Porsche should have seminars for their dealer on how to specs out the cars, based on how customer order their etc. At that price, it comes down to all the little details that make the car special.
