USP Motorsports presents: Adjustable Rear Control Arms - 996 / 997
Stop premature rear inner tire wear!!



Hey guys. I've been testing these out on my 996 for some time now, and finally want to release them to the public. My inspiration for making these is from seeing multiple Porsches coming into the shop with serious premature rear inner tire wear, and nothing they can do about it other then spending a boat load on what is available now. Porsche vehicles come from the factory with excessive negative rear camber for maximum performance handling. This is great for track use, but when driving the vehicle regularly it destroys the inside of the tires very fast.. especially when lowering.

These control arms are a direct replacement for your factory rear arms, and assist with adjusting camber and toe. They are a CNC machined 6061 lightweight aluminum construction (chromoly available on request). In addition to being adjustable, these control arms also offer increased strength from the replacement of the factory urethane bushing with spherical bearing heim joint ends. These arms are also ideal when setting up a track inspired Porsche with a spring or coilover setup. You will need maximum adjustment to set camber to spec. Each spherical bearing has CNC machined steel fittings for a secure and safe fit. I'm so confident in these that I am also offering a lifetime warranty to anyone who may purchase.

No problem man, after so many people coming into the shop with near stock cars and rear tires going out every 7500 miles I had to do something about it.

I believe the other options I have seen out there are the same for both the 996 and 996TT. Do you consider yours to fit/peform for the turbo as well?

They fit 996 non turbo and turbo same for the 997 non turbo and turbo.

Will you be producing Toe Arms w/ bump steer as well?

These have been on the market since 1999....... Everyone has copied one version or another of this arm.

We worked with one of the companies who originally designed this product as a direct result of racing needs and they till this day supply us.


I'm sure they are good quality parts and another option to the many versions on the market.

Umm.. yeah obviously we are not the pioneers of this product.. no where in my post did I state we were. I do realize there are variations of this product that came out long ago.. but then again exhaust systems for the 996 have been out since 1999 too, that doesn't mean manufacturers shouldn't give the community more options. If you read the first paragraph in my original post you will see my comment in regard to the rear camber issue: "nothing they can do about it other then spending a boat load on what is available now".. I made it clear these have been out, I just wanted to offer these to the community at a reasonable price since they are a very important modification. Everything out right now seems to be a bit overpriced for what they are.

Btw, what brand heim joints are you using? Aurora ?
