19" or 20" Wheels?
19x8.5 and 19x11 with stock 235/35 and 305/30 PS2 Tires. The rear offset is slightly more aggressive then standard HRE fitment per my request.
My car is lowered about 12.8in front and 13.2 rear from center of the center cap to fender edge.

So nice n shiny
The two sets of 20's are running the same size tires.
235/30/20 front
305/25/20 back

Just had my dads 997 turbo lowered by vivid via h&r springs and honestly I can't tell the difference in ride quality, it's not bumpy at all. Plus you can't go wrong with the price you can switch it back and not feel bad. Contact Dan he will hook you up
would you say about a 1 inch drop? I'm not familiar what the stock car number would be from center cap to fender edge. I've been considering a 20mm drop all around but your car looks like a bit more of a drop.
Ahhhhhhhh, that's why it looks so "aggressive". I love it, but I already have to be mindful of driveways etc... with the stock car so I think I'll
stick with about 20mm, but man oh man does your ride height look good!

Dan can you tell me if the two cars shown on your 997/P40 page have lowered? Specifically the red TT w/ 19" P40's & the white TT w/ 19" P40's. The links to the pics are below. Thanks.

To OP: Besides the difference in ride, don't forget the weight penalty: Weight at the wheel means penalty with nearly every aspect of performance -- ride, handling, braking, acceleration, steering. There have been numerous discussions on this, but long story short: It has to do with linear and angular momentum, and the gyroscopic effect (precess -- look up Wikipedia). Mass at the rim is simply not a good idea.
With the P40 (I'm self proclaimed owner of world's first set of P40 btw
-- only half kidding, I actually *am*.), 19 might be ok because the way the wheel is designed -- notice how the spokes are carried out all the way to the rim and how thin the outer rim is -- it looks bigger than its actual size.
For lowering, no question coilover allows you MUCH MUCH more freedom as far as how much you want to lower as the ride heights are variable, whereas lowering springs dictate a fixed height of around 1 inch or so. Go with Bilstein, like the majority of people here who mod the suspension. Here is mine, Bilstein, P40 19". At the time of this picture I believe the car was lowered around 12mm in rear, and 20 mm or so in front (nose down, derriere up LOL = beautiful rake angle; can't do this with lowering springs either):

[QUOTE=cannga;2997490]Here is shot of front of car:
Cannga,
Thanks for the practical info...it was the picture of your ride that has me thinking twice about the 20's and the simple fact that the additional weight will make a difference. I do see how the style of the 19" P40 wheel can give the aggresive look and that look on your car is perfect. How would you describe your ride quality compared to stock? What others mods have you done?
