Best of luck.

That is correct, Nels...so I cut mine out with a dremel.

Check out the pics.

Thanks,

I did the dremeling with it on the car. I hated the red louvers (yes, mine were red instead of black ). I went without screens for several months.

Later, when the fascia was off the car, I put the screens in. I felt it was a good time to and I knew it would be easier to solidly affix them.

I think I might do the same and install the grills when I have the bumper off sometime. Im also going to remove the washer nozels and pumps and hose and ascossiated parts.

DIY Grill for only $9.00

Here is my first DIY with a lot of help from the forums. I was able to get all the materials locally at home Depot for just under $9.00. I wasn't ready to tackle taking off the front bumper so I installed the side grills from the back. I primarily wanted the sides done to help prevent any direct hits to the radiators. I am fine with leaving the center open so that I can go in there annually and clean out any leaves or debris. I also have the procedure on youtube . Took about an hour or so.

4 years later and the front radiators are still going strong. The original ones only lasted 2 years with no grill protecting them.

Why Porsche dont do this as standard on all 911s (not just the GT3) is totally beyond me!
