The PDK is awesome if you want point and shoot. Its a way for a rich guy w/ little driving skill to become a 1/4 mile King...transmission is amazing.

996 GT2 is the last pure uncompromising drivers car. No electronic nannies just you and a car that will kill you if don't respect its capabilities.

Show me the numbers..

What I see is a stock GT2 will hit 60 in 3.4 and the 1/4 in 11.4.

A TT PDK car will be .2 seconds faster in both tests. If you compare the S model the gap is fatter. Under 3 seconds to 60 and 1/4 in the 10's.

The GT2 is an awesome car but it's not going to beat a PDK turbo in a drag race.

So the TT PDK is a good way for a rich guy to drag race and live and the GT2 is a good way for an even richer guy to die.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a PDK...but it isn't an engaging driving experience, IMO.

It's hard enough to keep a low profile..

I have never run her down the track. I'd love to take it to San Antonio raceway and see what she will do.

Is it the built motor or stock motor version? Give me the details. In any case, bring what you have and I will run you, 40-160.

I thought we're comparing the regular TT (unless I missed the title of the thread?)

There is a .2 second difference (hardly what I call "smoked") and a 3-4mph trap speed difference. Set the flags further down the road, and we'll see a tied race...

Sounds like fun...

It's the built motor.. She pumps out 1000HP on 93 and 1200 on race gas at the wheels.

Sorry, I thought the thread was about the PDK car since he mentioned 17 of them at dealers.

Yes.. I guess smoked is a bit of a stretch.
