Was it not part of your upgraded package?

I'm on the fence about this one. My tuner says it's good for 10hp. That doesn't make much difference but I was going to change the stock airfilter anyway (not sure how much it costs yet). However, I've heard about the "oil" on the filter affecting mafs. One vendor told me to wipe off all the oil before putting it in. Sounds like too much work for 10hp. I'll just try to shed a couple of pounds instead. Sorry ma, no second helping of turkey this year, I'm trying to improve my 60-130 time.

Thanks Dino, I just wasn't sure how to get the plastic housing off until your post.

Perhaps I needed the tune to reflect the added air flow? Who knows. You would think a simple filter would not require the tune but the o2 sensors sure are picky.
hmmmm...just another reason for me to waffle on this "upgrade".

Nope. Not part of the package. Think it's part of some of the proto kits, though. If the filter were $10, I'd do it.
lol on the turkey comment

I see, does that mean it uses the stock airbox and filter?
What is the turbo air inlet duct change in the package - is that from the airbox to the turbos?

the bmc filter does not trigger cels, I think that in gmoney's case something else is causing it. I have installed about 5 of these filters on mine and other customers turbos with no issues to each one. The filter should be wiped off as someone stated above because too much oil can cause the maf to get prematurely dirty.
