What Battery Charger
What Battery Charger
Is there any special way to keep the battery charged in the winter? Can I use any type of trickle charger? I have an extra Battery Tender for my Harley and was wondering if it will damage the battery to use it on my TT?
H-D Battery Tender will work fine - I've used one for 3 years.
AGM and gel batteries require a different charging technique. Suggest you read this tutorial:

The Ctek 3300 is good *IF* you use a typical wet cell lead/acid battery. But if you use an AGM type battery, such as Optima, you'll need a different charger. Spend a few more bux and get the Ctek 7002 because it supports wet cell and AGM type batteries.
That's why I suggested he read the tutorial.

The OEM one is a rebadged CTEK 3300 (it's on another 6speed thread).
The newer Deltran Battery Tender Plus will do AGM and GEL. OP should check to see if his H-D charger is the newer version. If it's a recent buy probably yes since H-D batteries are AGM.
I have been using this little guy for the last year:

I still drive the car 3-4 times a week regardless.
Any thoughts about this particular product?
Reading this thread scared me though. Wow scary to think that could happen.

From one of the sponsors here. I have it connected to my wife's Turbo S now. I have the Ctec 3300 on my Turbo but like the Save-A-Battery unit on my wife's car better.
