GT2 RS Weight savings
How different is the GT2 RS from the 997.1 GT2? It seems they both use the 3.6 Metzger engine.
While absolutely impressive and sure to be a collector car, i was a bit disappointed to see that about 75lb of the weight savings (out of about 150? total) comes from deleting the A/C which can be ordered as a no cost option. Even the front flares on the RS are stick-on pieces (unless one springs for the optional CF fenders with integrated flare.
Isn't a 997.1 GT2 an A/C removal and flash away from being very close to the RS at half the cost?
