They both ended up with the exact same MPH in the 1/4 mile. How they arrived at that same speed is different based on the gearing from the 5 spd tip vs. 6spd manual

Both cars were the same in the 1/4 mile. I am not sure the debate here. There is a difference in the 1/8th mile. All of the other data is nearly the same. 2 different cars, 2 different transmissions, 2 different tracks, 2 different climates, 2 different drivers, etc. Maybe the tip car would have gone faster in the 1/4 mile if it could rev higher and the transmission was not slipping.
