Really great times, the 997.2PDK does not need "hard" tuning to perform!

How much boost do you run Karim?

Well, since the 997.2 boost gauge does not read above 1 bar, I cannot tell for sure.

I know that the little arrow that points upwards whenever the car is running over boost lights up immediately when I nail the throttle and stays lit throughout all gear changes until I lift off the gas pedal.

I will ask Scott and get back to you.

Durametric was not, and still is not, measuring all sensors on 997.2 TT cars.

I have not tried logging yet with the latest release if it started measuring boost pressure.

I will try soon and get back to you.

Also, ScanXL Pro cannot measure Boost.

Ok, right, 997.1 is easier to measure with Durametric.

thx K.

Congrats Karim ! Nice to see that you're a man with patience and that you have confidence in your tuner.

What do you mean with worn tires ? New tires are 8mm and I replace mine at 3-4mm. Are you able to measure the remaining mm of your worn tires ?

Thank you, Stef

Hey Stef thanks!

It may be interesting to note that during the many trials I had along the way, I had the Europipe exhaust installed and measured with my PBox.
I then went back to stock exhaust and measured with PBox and then reinstalled the exhaust and measured again.

Performance of the car with the EP exhaust is noticeably better than the stock exhaust.

I have about 50% of thread life left, but that is causing wheelspin from standstill.

I assume that your engines makes more torque / hp with your latest tune now and that is part of the wheels spin issue as well.

What brand tires are you replacing the Bridgestones with ?

Nice to hear that the sport exhaust helped with the performance increase.

I assume so too. Certainly the improved performance of the car indicates that the car is making more power/torque on the new tune.

I am taking my car on a diet. I just ordered BBS FI wheels and that would shave about 14KG from my unsprung weight.

I am going the same direction with the tires. The Bridgestones are very heavy. I would like to look into the Michelin PS3 and the Michelin PS Plus to see when they would become commercially available and what they would weigh. I'd rather wait for them to come out before buying.

The EP sport exhaust certainly did its part Stef on the performance side, and, hopefully, that you new item you sent me will do its part on the aesthetic side .

Great thread Karim, and congrats on the results!

I don't understand why there's so much negativity in this thread though. Your results are impressive and proven. What's most important is that you have the support of your tuner. Again, congrats!

As for the .2 engine...unfortunately most are correct, the rods in the .2 engine are a weak point, as well as the fuel pump, and (obviously) the PDK. But....not to worry, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. See here:

Thanks Tom! Establishing and maintaining a solid and friendly relationship with the various tuners is definitely one of the joys of belonging to 6speedonline and is absolutely essential to succeeding with modifying our cars.

On another note, I am sure Karol is a decent guy. We have friends in common and they all have nothing but good things to say about him. Let's chalk that one down to a friendly misunderstanding with no hard feelings on my part.

I follow your threads very closely Tom and I have nothing but respect to what you guys are doing on the 997.2 TT, engine, induction and gearbox.
You guys are pushing on with the development and R&D on the 997.2TT when it seems to me that many other tuners have given up on it.
Kudos and respect!
