Just an FYI- the tool is readily available thru Delphi Packard for removing these connectors. The staple works good, but the tool is really handy.


Its about 10 bucks.

Do you have the exact tool part number? I have tried several brands, but this particular harness has inserts that are 0.7mm.

Wow Bob, I did the same thing changing my lights too. Way to go doing that search and write up thank you.

Waiting for the new ones, but I am thinking that I will just use electrical tape... :-) You realize that even with nothing holding them together (silicone or tape), for the vibration to separate the plug it will take ohhhh maybe 10 years?

I love the level of crazy **** thing that we have with our cars... Who cleaned the inside of the light area when swapping tailights? And I am glad to see that there are other people who are more than me! (Anyone waxed the area??!!)
