Question Does C4/Turbo uses a driveshaft to connect the rear to the front?

Hi,

I am new to this, and I am trying to think what I've learned with my previous AWD car to here.

When I had my STi, it replaced the OEM Drive-shaft with a light weight carbon drive-shaft. That's the piece that connect the Front to rear. It makes a huge difference, it probably larger difference than light weight flywheel.

However, I am not so sure how our AWD connected, anyone have expereince with this?
