Evt700 vs e85 gtr
Evt700 vs e85 gtr
Awesome weather here in New York the last couple of days, and able to get some good runs in, Mods in the 997.1 are 65mm VTG turbos, evoms clubsport intercoolers, evomsit tuning93/100 octane maps, bbi coil packs, denso spark plugs, fabspeed exhaust and headers.
GTR mods are cat/resonator delete, mid-down pipes, Meisterschaft straight pipes, 1000cc injectors, E85, bigger fuel pump, diverter valves and a custom cold air intake..
Both cars had 1 passenger and 1 driver, full street car weights and they were pretty much within a length or two depending on who made boost quicker from any RPM from about 50-170... on some slow speed rolls the porsche was able to jump in front about 3/5 times... ON LOW BOOST...
next week the car is going in the shop for some fresh summer tires and boost recirculation valves and some other tweaks, Im gonna filler' up 100 octane and let her rip and catch some good videos.
THANK YOU EVOMS!

GTR driver was actually looking at his windshield for rock chips in that picture, those 305 ps2s infront of him did some damage at speed to that pretty paint job.. LOL P-car FTW
I'm sure the GT-R had more than just an exhaust and injectors/pump.
(i.e. CAI is worthless without bigger MAF, which is worthless without a tune, which would also help get a benefit of E85, and those injectors)

Orange GTR owner here, just bringing some clarity to the thread, the GTR was built by Akuma Motorsports in NJ, and is fitted with AMS catless down pipes, Meisterschaft RESONATED midpipe and catback, 3inch dual intakes with 3' MAF. 1100CC Injectors, Aeromotions upgraded fuel pumps, Hard upper intercooler pipes with Synapse recirc valves, Accessport TCU tranny tune update, and custom Akuma E85 dyno tune. car is running half life Stock All season run flats. full weight.
From a 2nd or 3rd gear pull the GTR and the 997 were nose to nose, we could have had a conversation through the windows it was so even. The GTR creeped forward at high speeds i would say 140+, but barely enough to make a difference by 160. There were a few runs where the 997 had some tranny funks but the result was clear they were neck and neck. If the 997 had 100oct it would have pulled in ever gear (which it should) two VERY fast cars.

That's what he gets for being slower.

maybe theres alot of Pcar test running around this section
which is cool, but dont get it twisted, both cars were the same speed, so why bash the thread and make the results look different? This isnt a case of hear say, both the 997 owner and myself are best friends and we run enough to know the result. a joke about rock chips shouldnt be taken seriously lol
(the 997 is back in the shop getting new tires, and some tweeks to the tune)

Again, not saying Ivey does not do this, but i use Akuma for my work and can only comment on their work.
thanks!
