Question PS2 vs PSS pricing?

From Michelin's own marketing material, the Pilot Super Sport looks to be an enhancement over their existing PS2 (set to release in april). Doing a quick search, looks like PSS pricing is set to be roughly 20-25% LESS THAN the existing PS2.

Thoughts on why this would be?

Once it's N rated, the price will bump up. Right now, it's a nice, non porsche approved tire, that's all.
in the end, that's why I bought another set of cups instead.

Doug, Chris that makes sense...new to this so had to look up what "N rating" meant...it's all a lot more clear now.

Do you think when Porsche goes through the testing process to give the PSS an N rating, the tire itself will be tweaked from the current version available on pre-order today? Wondering if this is the window to get a set ordered (pre N rating) or if that's a road full of risk.

RE11s were in the same situation, but they were too heavy for Porsche, hence never N rated.

I have a complete set of the PSS on order from Tire Rack, eta middle of next month. I understand the N rating will appear when they show up on the next 911 and I doubt the tire will be changed but who knows.

Its been well tested on a number of 997's already, a few posts lurk on 6speed somewhere.
