After much debate, I decided to buy out my 07 turbo. The new model is beautiful of course, but I just can't justify 160K by the time I ticked off all the options. I was also considering a GT3 and just tracking it, but again, prices are up there on al these models.

Buyout on my 07 was 70 and change. Auction prices are up now in the mid to high 80s. I just couldn't let someone else reap the love and care I put into my car.

So, once my wallet gains some weight, I'd like to do an exhaust and possible ECU.

Also time to hit the track again!!

 

at least you know where its been right? Congrats, they are hard to part with! A flash + exhaust + a bit of suspension work = a whole nother experience, trust me.

 

Most times, that's not a good deal. But, I think your 997tt is an exception. The only caveat being if you have a lot of miles on the car and you plan to use it as a DD. Then leasing a brand new one makes more sense.
Also, see if the dealer will Cpo the car for you, most will. Runs about 3 k.

Congrats! I've done a lease buyout for my 996tt and it was the right decision for me. Now you should keep your car until 991.2 TT-S will arrive.
