Name this tool: MAF removal
Even the right size bit can be a little finicky to get on. If you just do it quickly and give up easily, you could come to the conclusion that it doesn't fit. Be patient and fiddle with it. It will work.
Try Apex Tool (a Division of Cooper Tools). They will definitely have it and it will be very high quality.
Found it! ...............http://www.cooperpowertools.com/cata.../TC-100_EN.pdf
Look at page Viii and pages 10-12.
Can be purchased at Hagermeyer NA (North America) and possibly McMaster Carr (but could be a cheap brand).
If Hagermeyer doesnt have it in stock (nor the factory), call factory and ask them who has them. There are several large airtool speciality shops that cater to the aerospace and automotive assembly industries.

I swapped out the MAF on my 997.1S tonight. The name of the bit is "Torx Tamperproof." The bit size is T15 and mine fit on a standard 1/4" ratchet. Bought the bit at Pep Boys, so it must be pretty common.
Hope that helps!

Not if you are using the incorrect tool. The 996TT/997/996/986/987 used a security torx bit. The 997TT uses a security torx plus bit. They are different bits.
I was starting to get that impression from the other comments. Kind of a strange move (maintenance-wise) by Porsche to switch bit types. I've had to fiddle with mine to get it on properly even knowing I had the right bit. Frustrating for the OP...
