Just Purchased Turbo, Basic Questions Now

Hey just got my turbo drove it down was awesome! but i have some basic questions

1) the film strip that is right in front of the vents on each side of the car, near were it flares out,i want to peel that off because my car is white and that film thing is like an off white, any suggestions on the best way to do this?

2) How do you illuminate hte LED strip on the front of the car, i tried all diff variations and the most i can do is like were 1 lil bulb lights up but not all of them, would like to run with them in the day

3) what does sport mode do, i read that it adds Boost pressure besides making the suspension tighter and throttle more senstaive?

Just peel it off, some times a heat gun helps. But I would replace it as that area is very susceptible to stone chips. It has yellowed as most paint protection films do over time.

You don't. They are not DRLs. They are turn signals.

Bob answered pretty much everything!
3) sports mode allows for overboost and you can see on your gauge that it's working with a little arrow next to either the psi or bar gauge...The pasm will stiffen up the shock/ride once you engage sports mode...

And #1, all you need to do is go to the dealer and have 'em replace it. Some cool dealer would do it for free if it is cpo.

I replace the protection yearly, it yellows within that time and my car is garaged, weekend only, no rain. Its pathetic how quickly they yellow.

Try getting colored vinyl to match your paint. It is a lot cheaper, won't yellow and when it comes time to replace it, it is 1/10th of the price.

On # 2 - I am still trying to figure out (through other sources) a way to turn our blinkers into DLR's - haven't been successful. I am sure there is a way...

Is it really safe to just peel the clear bra off the front? I figured it would be better to take it to a film install dealer and have them remove it.

It's safer to let a pro do it, but you can do it yourself as long as you take it slow and use a heat gun or hair drier to help warm up the film. Stretch the film to remove it rather than trying to peel it off the car. Peeling it off will leave tons of residue that you'll have to clean up afterwards.

I took off the '09 Turbo rear quarter film myself and the dealer replaced it under warranty with better quality stuff.

Use some quick detailer spray behind it as you peel from the top, hair dryer is fine, go slowly...it will come off in one sheet. But ask the dealer if you are having this done under warranty - they actually want the old junk in some cases to send back to PCNA for some crazy reason.

i think that would be great to be able to do. don't like the stupid little fog lights being the full time DRL's.
