I would bed the pads whenever I switched from street pads to race pads just to make sure all the street material was off the rotors...braking hard for a slow turn from high speed is not the time to find out you should have bedded the pads

I have heard from race pad to street pad same rotor no, but from street pad to race pad same rotor yes and it might even be a good idea to do a double bedding in process to remove what the street pads leave behind.

I personally have not done this yet but will be doing it soon as I put 350mm Girodiscs on all 4 corners and new stock pads all around because I could not stand the pagids noise on the street. I will be doing an event early Oct so the time will come to slide the pagids back in and i will do a double bed process on these new rotors.
