$13k haircut in 4 months?!!

I bought a CPO '07 TT 4 months ago and LOVE the car but really want a TTS...so I called the dealer where I purchased to see what they would give me for the '07. It has 16,2xx miles (I put 2k on it), GT Silver/black, PCCBs, adaptives, tip, chrono, light carbon and a wrap that I put on the hood and front end ($2K). They will buy it back for $80K. What does everyone think about that figure..I am still new to these cars so don't know what to think.

Well, a few things to consider... Once the car goes back to the dealer, the CPO status is removed. Your mods are worthless to the dealer. Also consider that the dealer has to make some money. Figure the CPO, mods and mileage are worth about $8,000 and the haircut is only $5,000, which is probably about right. I don't think you will get much more than $85K selling the car privately.

If you are trading the car in, you will save taxes and I suspect the dealer will help you on the purchase price of the new car or the trade-in on the old one. The real question is how bad do you want the TTS?

Dealership said they spent $8k on the CPO process so the price was firm, car looked amazing like it was very well cared for. Only thing I saw was just a few nicks on the front bonnet that needed to be touched up, other than that it was perfect.

I did take great care of it Wow 8k for CPO is a lot considering it was still under 1 year CPO when I traded it in about a month ago.. But at the same time I have no idea how they come up with the CPO pricings.. Hope it finds a good owner

Sad thing is that dealership is very shady on the used side.

Heard that from a few seperate sources, they are owned by Sonic so you would think being ran by a large company would clean up alot of the games.

I like the people at Porsche of North Houston but Indigo Auto Group is the laughing stock of car dealerships down here. I know since the bought Lamborghini Houston their lot has more lower end vehicle that belong on the Hyundai lot next door instead of a franchised Lamborghini dealership.

what are they doing on the TTS? nothing off or more than expected? that is the other half of the equation, so answer that & i think you will have a better idea.

Sounds like you got a good offer. (From a previous post, there are no mods here. Although most dealers like to see a clear bra though - although it doesn't have a used value anywhere near 2k)

Sounds like your trade wasn't quite as good.

Most interesting to see that the car traded at 70 is listed at 89! I traded my '07 997S for 48k a few months ago and an indi couldn't sell it for 49k! It got dealer swapped to Chicago, where it is now listed for 59k...

Based on my data from when I was in the market 4 months ago, $80k is a fair retail price. To get it on a trade is even better
