It doesn't work unless you go with a aftermarket wheel such as fvd...

i allways wondered how hard would it be to retrofit the RAID steering wheel (FVD) paddles into OEM steering wheel

Hi guys
Any input in what makes it difficult/impossible to swap steering wheels from 997.2 pdk (997 044 402 16 R10 for mine) onto a 997.1 tt tiptronic without multifonction? I mean, is it a problem with wiring, mechanical coupling, or... ?

Thank you for your reply

Is this a dead thread? Would love to rid my vehicle of those counter intuitive TIP buttons with a reasonable priced muti-function capable paddled wheel.

I guess the steering wheel from 997.2 fits right onto the 997.1 hub but naturally you have to buy another air bag and this is where the trouble could come from (if anyone knows, you're welcome to share...). I would like too know the end of the story. :-)
