I have a 2007 997.1 TT with a round wheel and NO steering controls. I just bought a triangular one off an older 997 from a member here because I like the look of it better. I forgot to ask if it has steering controls. If it has them, is my car already equipped with the provisions to hook them up or will it be difficult/expensive to do it? I'm assuming everything else is a straight swap?

I thought the wiring is there but you need the controller that connects the wheel to the column. I know if you buy the steering wheel from a place like suncoast then the controller is included.

Thanks. Good to know. It was a used wheel. I talked to the seller, and he said it doesn't have the controls. I bought the car without them for concern of having too much going on when the mood strikes me and I fancy a drive. I started thinking twice about that decision, but it seems I'm going to continue enjoying distraction-free wheel.
