Hoosiers on stock rim size anyone what size tires ?
Setting a track wheel tire combo not on stock wheel but same size as stock19 by 8.5 front & 11 rear thinking about trying the hoosiers but limited in sizes 235/35/19 fronts & 315/30/19 rears ,seems to be the only option for my wheels ? is this within the tolerance from front to back without messing up the differential.I know there was a differential problem with 315/25/19 on the rear.If not i'm gonna have to go with the MPSC in a 305/30 /19
I'm running:
19x8.5 fronts with 235/35 R6's (the front Hoosiers run wide)
19x12 Rears with 315/30 R6's
ON ELEVEN INCH RIMS I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE 295's
I think the 315's on 11's will give you too much side wall flex.
See image on post #61...GT2/GT3RS OEM RIMS with 235 & 315 R6's mounted.

PS: I ran the MPSCUP 305's prior to my Hoosier set-up. I'm much happier with the R6's.
IMHO, my RE-11's perform better then my CUP tires and have lasted much long. R6's and CUP's aren't even in the same category

Thanks for the info but wouldn't the 295 be skinner than the 315 but the same height in the 30 series so how does that effect flex .i'm a rookie track star lol or are you saying 295 /? the R 11s are 10 pounds heavier than the R6's & MPSC does that matter at all.
Turbo, tuned street car you probably won't feel the difference (weight on the street). The RE-11's are my daily driving tires that I can drive to and on the track tire when I can't get transportation for for my R6's. You shouldn't drive R6's on the street...they pick up way too much debris. My lap times are noticeably quicker with the R6's, but thats' more to do with grip, not weight.
Hoosiers have a tendency to run wide. Therefore the 295/30 will more then likely run as wide or wider then 305 MPSC's.
Read through my RE-11 posting when you have time. There might be some info worth retaining.
You're not buying the R6's for DD/street tire are you?

Thanks & no just for track days but plan on driving to the track which i have 2 very close to me,still curious about the size ratio's from front to back being within the tolerance ,not to cause differential damage i looked them up & the diameter's are R6's 235/35 are 25.6 front same as stock size & rear is 26.1 for both the 295/30 & 315/30 compared to 26.3 for the stock size 305/30 so that seems to be pretty close .Also the cost of the 295 is about $75 less per tire than the 315,so 295 might be the way to go thanks for the info.
