I have a Dension Gateway 500 with a BTA1500 and have paired it to a new iPhone 4S. I am using bluetooth streaming for audio and it works very well except for one instance. When you first get into the car and start it, the odds of it auto-playing are about 50-50, sometimes it continues from where I left off and sometimes it just sits in silence. During the silence moments I usually hit the voicecommand and tell it to play, (which works), but I'm just wondering if everyone has it inconsistent like this?

Ultimately I would like to figure out 2 things.

1} is the reason it doesn't play a sequence or timing issue, (something repeatable and therefore avoidable)? Do other people have this problem with bluetooth streaming? This problem isn't just on the iPhone4S, it occurred with my iPhone4 as well.

2} when it doesn't play, something like a PLAY button would be great (since that would start the playback on the Music app) but the PCM seems to only have TrackForward and TrackBack buttons, no specific PLAY button. Is there a way to issue a PLAY action via the PCM, (that I'm just not aware of)?? Is there some 'magic' sequence on the PCM (like holding down 0) that issues a play and stop?? Anything like that.

Holy crap, I think I just figured it out. MUTE pauses and replays the music!! I will have to wait until the next time it fails, but I think this will work!!

 

It works! So, to the OP, never mind, and to anyone else looking "the MUTE button"
