Painting Wheels Question

I have decided to try painting my stock turbo wheels black ( they are my track wheels ) and I'm doing it myself??? I have never looked closely at black wheels and would like to know if the inside of the rim is also black or some other color. Does anyone have some black wheels they could look at and let me know. Thanks.

On mine, the insides are black....and they show a lot of dirt and brake dust.

Normally I would suggest spraying the inside of the wheel also. What type of paint do you plan on using?

I am using Duplicolor paint. There are several steps beside the obvious clean, sand, clean again. There is a spray filler ( if needed for deeper scratchs ), then a spray etcher primer, then primer, then actual paint, then clear coat. I am going with a semi-gloss black. I have decided I will paint the inside. I have two more sets of track tires I may do as well depending on how these turn out.

If your using a rattle can based paint it more than likely will not hold up well. I would look into using automotive based 2 stage paint to ensure they will hold up. I know they are your track wheels... once they get brake dust on them using rattle can paint it will be hard to get off.
