A race baiting Austrailian telling me that I am stooping low!? Now that IS funny!! You have to realize that Americans can spot a BS race card from a mile away. Australian is a nationality, not a race. You don't even know what you are talking about.

Most are very good at the general servicing side but get to the technical side of things there are some holes....which is to be expected particularly given their limited exposure where certain engine related issues are concerned. Thankfully there are places like 6speed where true porsche owners can get together and share their problems, experiences, cocerns and findings, and it is often this very information that can be shared with the "guru" techs to solve certain customer issues that are often quoted as "normal" in a bid to retain their credibility with client and/or put them at ease in the meantime. I can quote a number of warranty related instances of my own now where lifetime service techs have been uanble to answer the call without seeking advice from PAG which, has mainly happened as a consequence of certain information i have obtained from this site. If you wish to take the spoken (now paid) word of a 30 year tech as gospel that's fine by me as is the case if you wish to consider me as ignorant in my evaluations and advice. My research is very sound on this issue as are my resources and industry associates that i am certain of....but as always, one is entitled to believe what they choose. There has not been one poster on this thread that you have paid any notice to, infact the contrary where you have been bordeline rude (re the oil level rspnses by another member). You ask for advice yet you seek to shoot the messenger. As i said previously, i dont know why you bothered posting this thread up in the first place.
What I do trust over you is a 30 year tech that spent the last few hours trying to find a problem with the car while I was being stalled trying to buy one of their CPOs. My opinions on your ignorance is based on the fact that you blew everything I said out of proportion, put words in my mouth and made judgements on it, and then said what your evaluation on the car was the problem and that is that. Well, you're wrong. The fact is there isn't a single problem with this car, It's an awesome deal in a 1 of a kind situation, and I worked my butt off for the past few years to treat myself so I am getting it.

Race, nationality....whatever....much the same thing these days. Calling either into question is unecessary and uncalled for. You are way out of line.

Frankly I don't care who you trust or what you do or buy. Your over reaction was unexpected and unecessary. However, being rude and disrespectful to the degree you have warrants banning.. but i'll leave that to the moderators.

This is a community in which you build reputation. Look at the top right corner of the banner representing your avatar on each of your posts. The little red boxes that you are accumulating are negative rep points from members, which you will need to struggle to reverse. Now look at Speed21's same area, he has 135 points and several little green boxes, which wont change. In your user CP menu, you can read the posted comments on the negative rep points that you have received.

Oh well.
I got what you were saying Nick. I've seen the rep system fail from one forum to the next for various reasons, so it doesn't concern me - especially with the attitudes of some of the people on this forum. You aren't one of those people.

I'm with you man! I have to make a trip to STL(7 hours)this weekend. I don't want to put the miles on the car so they are letting me take (now their) truck. When I get back next week I'll take delivery. I am looking at rotec/dectane options for the taillight, an exhaust, and Bluetooth/iPod/Xm functionality with the PCM.

Welcome to the 6! This is just initiation to the fraternal organization. Paul is Chair of the hazing committee.

I really hope that it's just condensation as you say. The large volume of white smoke coupled now to the misfires is a concern imho. When the motor heats up, things expand, and can provide a temporary seal. Enjoy your new turbo.

Congratulations on your future turbo...I believe you'll find it's simply an amazing vehicle and so fun to drive.

I find most people one here are very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to these vehicles. IMO...many were trying to help steer you in the right direction and help give some feedback on your original post.

Awesome you found a great deal and car you like...my warning won't be about other 6speeders but more about the addictive nature to modding you'll endure once you totally familiarize yourself to 6speed.

Enjoy and congrats again!
