So I recently installed manual 997 GT3 seats into my 997tt since it did not come with sport seats. The passenger side electronic recline is working but not the driver side. The original driver side seat had two wiring harnesses but the GT3 seat only had one. Heated seats are working on both sides but as I mentioned, the recline on the driver side is not. I could have swore these GT3 seats would be drop ins. Anyone else done this and had this problem?

 

Any follow-up on this? Were you able to get the driver seat to work? I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Thanks.

 

I haven't resolved it yet, but I haven't really taken the car to anyone to look at yet. I'll update the thread if I get it fixed.

 

Thanks for the reply. It sounds like the seats are at least usable without the power recline. Did you have any issues with the passenger seat causing the airbag light to go off? I think I read somewhere that some people had to get the weight sensors in those seats recalibrated. Thanks again.

 

Yeah, it's not like the seat back won't stay in place. My driver side is slightly more reclined than i'd like, so it's not a huge deal. Hence my slacking on getting it addressed. I did not get an airbag light.

 

I have a set on the way. I'll let you know if my experience is any different.
