value of high mileage 997 TT over 70K miles?

any first hand experience with sales of these cars over 60- 70K miles? How are they ACTUALLY holding their values? I have only seen ASKING prices, which really dont show what they sell for. The askign prices are ALL OVER THE PLACE. Just curious. Thank you.

Excellence Mag online has bunch of info which I used in Jan2011 to purchase my 997TT. TRIPTRONIC, SC, LOADED SILVER 911 for 69kUSD.

The dealer told me that since the mileage was over 48k &/OR 4 years meant no CPO. ( So the CU has vendors for that for less than a 1000, names are somewhere on these forums)

So she had 53k for the mileage and it is now over 56k and growing.
I am planning to see the fin man about their exhaust since they are so close by and asked them all kinds of questions of if's and How to's

Maybe I can find someone to finally do that DME or PPI thing.
I am also very glad to hear of existing 70k+ miles 997TT?? WHAT??

But I will say in my eyes my Greta is PRICELESS.

I HOPE THIS HELPS I KNOW I KNOW I OWE U PICS, RIP FA

I'd say the car is worth somewhere in the $50k range...

I saw a 07 997TT 67K miles (or close) black PCCB 6sp and lots of options go for $56K on ebay from a no reserve

I also saw a 07 997TT with 72K miles not sell for 9 months on ebay at $62K with most of the options that people want and a cool color.

I am a buyer and looking for one. One thing to think about. I have seen lower mileage cars, in the teens, sell for 75-80. Dealers try to get 80-85. Once you hit the 30K miles value drops, then 40K a bit more and above 50K killer. So for me as a buyer I might pay 75-80K if it had the EXACT color and options for a really really low mileage one in the teens. Then maybe 65-70 for one in the 20's, for the 30-40K range I would do 60-70, in the 40-50K range pay 55-60, if from 50-70 maybe in the 50K, range. Above 70K miles it would be a really hard sell above 40-45K for me. I plan to have the car for 3-5 years and will do 10-12 a year. So if I buy a 70K car when I go to sell it in 3 years and it has 100K miles on it I would have issues selling it or just about giving it away at that point. Maybe get 20-30 out of it if lucky. Sad state, but true.

Are you saying this because of the red 997TT on ebay with 80K+ miles on it and the buy it now price is 80K. I just about fell out of my chair when I saw that. There is one bid at 50K and got to wonder if that is a friend bidding to help bring up the price if anyone else bids. I doubt anyone else will.

BTW- my wish car, 997.1TT, 6spd, white, blk interior, SC, SA seats, moon roof, multifunction wheel, locking diff. If it was just that my emotions might overtake my logic and I might pull the trigger, finally.

I am not looking at that red one, but I came across it while trying to figure out value of this other car. $80K for that car is downright insanity...Anyone that would consider paying anything near that needs to be on some sort of medication. I'm thinking a car with about 70-75k miles is worth 50-55Kish.. Thanks for your input!

Matty, your car sounds like a great deal.
