DRL on 2010 / 2011 997.2 turbo
SubscribeHi Guys,
Do the new 997.2TTs year 10/11/12 have DRLs enable? Can someone post a pic of the DRL lights for me? Im looking at a 2011TT but they couldnt get the DRL lights lite up at all. TIA.

Best way to check those lights is to put the car into welcome home lighting mode (first option right from "off"). The DRLs will come on as well as the lights at the end of the turn signal blades. During normal daytime driving, only the DRLs are on. (Didn't want to start the car)
Also, in the settings section of the center display, there is an option to activate/deactivate the daytime lights. It's possible that this is the cause for the anomaly.

Thanks Arash for your prompt response. What about the lights in the turn signal? Do they lite up when you activate it via the daytime lights option? My 09TT doesnt do this and I believe Vivid has the DRLs that will lite up and will be release next week?Originally Posted by arash

When driving, the light at the tip of the turn signal blade is off unless the headlights are on (and DRLs are off.) The rest of the lights on the turn signal blade are amber, and only work as turn/hazard signals.
Yes, some third parties are working on a replacement turn signal assembly that works as both a white DRL strip and as an amber turn signal. I guess this is to mimic the DRL effect on the non-turbo 997.2's and the Panamera. I guess it would look cool, but I don't really get the fervor personally.

Yeah the DRL is the fog light, not to fancy. You can upgrade to the front marker lights here - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/a...2-p-63681.html
